LGBTQ+ Students Open Forum

This is an open forum for all students to share/design solutions for issues facing our LGBT+ student community. 

?This training will take place online via Microsoft Teams. Once signed up, you will receive a joining link closer to the date of the training?

Agenda: 

5-5:30pm = SU staff will present an overview of how LGBTQ+ students are represented in our data gathered by UWSU Check-In Surveys, highlight areas of concern, and compare our findings to data on LGBTQ+ students experiences across the wider Higher Education Sector.  

5:30-6:30pm = We will use the power of discussion to 1) develop realistic outcomes 2) develop strategic steps within our structures 3) keep the action going  

This session will end with a summary of what has been discussed and actions being taken forward. This may include a follow-up action committee, submitting a motion to student council or raising issues to academic reps to take to University committees.
