Every year we run event programmes for two history months per term, awareness days, development workshops and more! Our community activities are run by your Student Leaders, UoW EDI team, and in collaboration with our diverse student body. All of the activities are free-low cost, where you can find your communities, connect with others, or event plan an activity to run together!

I booked an event and can no longer make it – can I get a refund?
We're sorry that you can no longer attend an event. To request for a refund, please email su-events@westminster.ac.uk and a member of the events team will advise you on the refund process.
Can I bring a non-Westminster friend to UWSU events?
Our events are restricted to Westminster students. There might be instances when we do allow students to bring a guest to an event, however, please make sure you read the event description to find out more information. Guests would need to bring a valid photographic ID such as a driver's license or passport, and be registered at the relevant campus security desk in order to gain access to the campus.
Do I need to book a ticket in advance or can I pay at the door?
We highly encourage you to book your ticket in advance to avoid queuing or even missing out on an event. Due to venue capacity, we may allow entry on a 'one in, one out' basis, however this is subject to the type of event. Please make sure you read the event description carefully. For any queries about our events, you can always DM us on social media or email su-events@westminster.ac.uk.
What ID do I need to bring with me on a night out?
You will need to bring your Westminster Student ID and photographic proof of age ID (driving license, passport or PASS card) to every event you wish attend for identification purposes.
Can I run an event in UWSU venues?
Absolutely! Our spaces are designed for students to use; if you'd like to run an event as part your course project, or if you have an innovative idea for an event, we'd be glad to accomodate you. We do have processes in place to faciliate your event so make sure you get in touch to learn more – email su-events@westminster.ac.uk.
Are drinks cheaper at UWSU events?
Uhhh, yes! We work hard to ensure our prices remain cheaper than your typical central London venues. We understand the financial toll the cost of living crisis has had on students and do our best to accomodate fair prices without comprising on the student experience.
How do I reclaim lost property?
Fear not, we've all lost a thing or two at events – it's an unfortunate side effect of having too much fun! Simply email su-commercial@westminster.ac.uk and provide details of the lost item, the venue and event, and the date of when you believe you lost the item. We cannot guarantee that any lost items will have been found by a member of staff or handed in by a student, but do check with us regardless.
What is The Hideaway and where can I find it?
The Hideaway is our snazzy Central London social space based in Regent Street campus. This venue was refurbished in 2019 and boasts a modern look with state of the art lighting rigs and audio set up, and plenty of comfortable seating spaces. It is a venue for you to socialise with your mates, get some work done if needed, AND enjoy Starbucks drinks that's cheaper than the high street. When you cross the barriers at Regent Street campus, turn right and head down the stairs, or take the lift down, and The Hideaway will be staring you right in the face.
Where is The Undercroft?
The Undercroft is our long standing social space that is host to a variety of events such as Messy Mondays, Live Music Nights, Quiz Nights, and so much more. Based in Harrow campus, this hidden gem is located on the other side of campus. When you arrive through The Forum, simply keep heading straight past The Street and the UWSU Shop. Walk out of the campus through the back exit and The Undercroft is located on the right, just down the stairs.
When is the last entry for Messy Monday/club nights if I have purchased a ticket?
Any tickets to a nightclub event will gurantee you entry to the event unitl 11pm, after this time entry will be dependent on venue capacpity until last entry at midnight. In the event of the entry gurantee time changing this will be specifically noted on the event page.
Can I transfer a ticket to someone else?
Your tickets are non-transferable so you cannot give your ticket to anyone else to get into the venue.
Is there an age limit to attend events?
All regular union venue events and club nights are restricted to those that are 18+ years of age. All attendees and guests are required to provide proof of age if asked by the door staff, and you can be refused entry if you are unable to do this. Your student ID does not provide proof of age, for the documents accepted please see ‘What ID do I need to bring with me on a night out?’
Do the venues accept cash?
All our venues are cashless and only accept card payments – so make sure you have you card on hand to pay for those cheap drinks.
I’m having trouble logging into the website and can’t buy a ticket – what do I do?
If you are experiencing difficulties logging in to the UWSU website, please email su-info@westminster.ac.uk and this will be picked up by a member of staff. Please provide a screenshot of the error message on screen and provide as much information so we're able to effectively support you.

All sales are final, and refund are not available on tickets once they have been purchased.
